Back in Jersey

It's been a while since we've been able to do a post due to the move. All in all, we really enjoyed NYC. Josh had a very special time there. He developed some very close friends in Leone, Charlie, Mia and Eli. He got tight with Malou and was very sad when he realized we were leaving. We were able to celebrate a little bit before we left. Josh got to give Malou a good bye present.

Here Josh "helps" with the packing. Mommy almost taped up the box and shipped him to Australia.

A final visit to the 68th St park. Joshua loved going down the slides and climbing all over.

Goodbye to Leone.

New Jersey isn't all that bad. At least you get to drive here. This was the only way daddy survived a trip to the grocery.

Joshua's new wagon. We can take it for rides around the neighborhood (when it finally cools off a little) and make visits to our new friends. Joshua is a little surprised by how quiet the parks are here. There's never more than 2 or 3 kids at the park. It's as if he owns the place. Not like NYC where there's tons of people around.

Getting ready to cheer on Vandy.

A very nice visit to Grandma Legath. Josh had a wonderful time dancing and playing in the yard.

Showing off our counting skills . . kinda.

Fun weekend

Joshua had a fun pool party with all his buddies. It's been so hot in NYC it's fun for the kids to get wet.

Joshua and daddy get in their workout. Notice that Joshua has modified the routine slightly to include a lollipop (right hand).

Joshua is now facinated with bugs. Here he runs into a woolly caterpillar.

July 4th Weekend

Joshua really enjoyed (if you can't tell) his July 4th holiday. He got to spend the entire weekend split between the beach and the pool. Not too shabby.

Joshua loves his Lightening McQueen pool float.

Josh sports his Phillies shirt while cheering on the Southampton Breakers of the Hampton's Collegiate Summer Baseball League. Josh really liked it when the guys took batting practice.

Visit to NJ

Joshua had a great stay in NJ last week. He got to go swimming (skinny dipping), played at the park, and celebrated MomMom and PopPop's anniversary. He also got a really, really cute haircut and spent some fun time with his cousins. These four days were a tease for Andy and Andrea for when we're back in NJ in 5 weeks. The next time we'll be back in NJ it will be MOVING DAY!!!

Jack reads Clifford the Big Red Dog to Joshua. The cousins had a wonderful time taking over the restaurant. They also got to go swimming. The kids are really going to enjoy August when they have lots of time together.
Wrestlemania!!

Fathers Day

Joshua and Andy enjoyed a wonderful day together on Sunday. The boys enjoyed some QT at Central Park. There we took a long walk and finally tried the sailboats.

Joshua is getting to be really good at stacking his blocks. Daddy thinks it is because he has so much fun tearing them down.

Joshua and Malou as they are about to head out to the park.

Josh Joins the Circus

Joshua, GG and Grandpa went to the Big Top Circus last weekend in Queens. We had great seats and got see some amazing performances. Joshua really liked the jumping dogs, dancing horses and flying acrobats.

Joshua is too interested in the actions of the clowns to look at the camera. (Or was the popcorn just too tasty!)
Joshua loves the zoo. A couple weeks ago we spent a nice full morning at the Central Park zoo. Joshua's favorite was watching the seal lion feeding. He also enjoyed the snow monkeys (with their bright red faces) and the penguins.

He also got a kick out the petting zoo and feeding the sheep, llama and goats.

On a hot weekend, Joshua and mommy check out the High Line Park. It's a nice addition to NYC and the West Village/Chelsea area.

Joshua, Leone and Mia.
Leone is a nice and quiet gentleboy. Joshua has other things on this mind . . .

Back Home Again in Indiana

Joshua enjoyed a fabulous Memorial Day weekend in Indiana. Here he gets to visit the horses at the Devonshire Barn.

Lots of playing in the sun in the hot weather. Josh loved his two water toys. And who knew that kiddie pools could be that educational . . Joshua learned a new word--Alligator.

Josh may be Tiger Woods' new instructor. Here he shows Bess the fundamentals of the grip and how to chip out of the deep rough.
Squirt-squirt. Josh and grandma play in the pool.
Helping grandpa plant marigolds. Joshua was a wonderful helper in the yard. He did lots of watering, helped plant flowers and picked out new fish for the pond.
Relaxing by the pond. Grandpa and Joshua feed the fish and giggle at the frogs.
This is the best for mommy . . . a cuddly, giggling little boy.

Josh loved the water slide. Next summer he'll be sliding all over the yard.
