Late April Update

Josh continues to grow like a weed. He now has 6 teeth (which means he can BITE now) and can stand on his own. He can walk holding onto something, and has shown an unfortunate interest in climbing the staircase. Here are some recent pics:

Hammin' it up with his yummy string cheese...
Checking out his new wheels -- early birthday present from Great Grandma and Grandpa! He LOVES it! (check out the Joshua license plate on the back)

Happy Holidays

Joshua got to celebrate two new holidays this weekend.

First he spent Passover with G-Grandma and G-Grandpa in NYC. I guess his babling is a little closer to Hebrew than English, but he was still exempt from reading any of the passages. We even figured out that Grandma Caryl's Cousin Barry is Joshy's second cousin.

Climbing "Mt. Bowers".

Then Joshy got to celebrate his first Easter with Andrea's family. He really enjoyed dinner with the family and loved meeting Mr. E-Bunny. No candy yet (so more for cousin Jack and mommy and daddy)

Mommy and Joshua look great for Easter Sunday.

But most importantly (I guess this gives away who's writing this post!) Joshy got to watch his first Masters with daddy. We cheered on Tiger and Lefty as they made their Sunday charge and got to watch an exciting finish.

In other exciting news, cousins Jack and Will got a new puppy dog. Lilly, a yellow lab, is so cute and plays very well with Joshua.

Josh has more fun destroying his food than eating.

Joshy Solves Economic Crisis!!!

It's truly amazing; Joshy has solved our economy's problems.

Ok, so that's an April Fools joke, but at least he's a happy boy.

This week Josh moved up to a new classroom. He is now with the "older" kids who can walk. He's almost able to keep up with them as a fast crawler, but we're thinking (see if you agree after watching this video) that he'll be walking soon.

Josh is looking forward to a fun night over with Mommom and Poppop this weekend. It will be a good test for May when they get him for two whole days!!!

MMM. Josh is happy after his favorite meal--Chick-filet!!

Josh Does Hawaii...

Josh went on a vacation to HAWAII!!!! Believe it or not, he was actually very well behaved on the 9 hour flight from Chicago to Maui -- which is a big feat considering he only slept about 2 hours total! He spent a lot of time flirting with the stewardesses.

Day 1 in Maui was a little overcast and we took a windy, hairpin, one-lane road through the North Shore... as you can see here, Josh mostly enjoyed the car ride... until he got carsick. Poor guy!

One of the next adventures was snorkeling. Josh enjoyed the breezy boat ride to Turtle Cove...

but had a little trouble figuring out the snorkeling gear.

He also just spent a lot of time relaxing -- more time with Mom and Dad instead of daycare!

Josh loved digging in the sand on the beach at Maui.
Our trip spanned March 17th, so of course our little Leprechaun had to get geared up for St. Patrick's Day.
Josh strolls along the grounds of the condo complex during cocktail hour...One of the definite highlights was a luau called "The Feast of Lele". Josh was mesmerized by the fiery torches and the dancing hula girls.

After 5 action-packed days in Maui we headed to the island of Oahu for Cousin Jon's wedding in Honolulu. The beaches were gorgeous but Josh was NOT a fan of the water...

...he much preferred digging sand pits with Cousin Pete.

The atmosphere in Hawaii was very relaxed.... "No shoes, no shirt, no problem!"

Josh gives Cousin Jon some last-minute advice before he gets hitched.

All the cousins had a great time celebrating!

It was a FANTASTIC vacation, nonetheless, jet lag does not treat a 10 month-old well...

Mr. Activity

Clapping hands and trying to talk....

Learning how to walk! Cousin Will lent Josh this cool walking wagon.
