Christmas 2010

Joshua must have been a very good boy this year as Santa was very generous.  He got lots of little gifts and a really cool John Deere tractor truck.  It has a bulldozer/front loader on it.  (Daddy named the truck MaryAnne)  Daddy is looking forward to having Joshua help with the yard work this spring and summer.  Hopefully Joshua and MaryAnne can dig holes in just one day!  In fact, we could use it today to plow the snow.

Joshua and PopPop set up one of his new toys.

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

Josh has a wonderful visit from Grandma and Grandpa this week.  It was a very nice break.  We don't think he wore them out too much.

Joshua loves the "Griswald" house.  These two homes have  overdone the lights and yard ornaments.

Josh and Grandma loved playing games and going puzzles this week.

Christmas Eve

Joshua and Jack provide the entertainment on Christmas' eve with a rousing rendition of "Frosty the Snowman".  Josh
and Jack made the snowmen too.

The three cousins.  Tough to get a good picture of three wild and crazy boys!

Josh and Jack with another song.

Josh and his Santa snowmen headgear.

Santa stopped by and dropped off some really cool stuff for Joshua.  We can't wait to see his reactions tomorrow morning!

Tryouts for "Iron Chef" are coming to Joshua's school next week.  He's all about the toppings for his pizza.
Post-Santa Claus meeting.  Joshua was all hyped-up on candy cane.  He was a really good boy for Santa and even asked for "DINOSAURS!"  I wonder if Santa was listening...mmm.

Josh as his school recital.  They sang four songs including "Twinkle, Twinkle"  and "Jingle Bells".

Josh and Jack in Battle Royale ping pong.  Jack has the height advantage but Josh has a wicked serve.

Reunion with Leone

Josh and Leone had their first reunion at Leone's 2nd birthday party.  It is so nice that he's now so close.  We look forward to having Leone and Teddy down to Cherry Hill sometime soon.

Boy Band in the making.  Here's Joshua, Sebastien (Leone's cousin), Leone (on the right) and then Harrison joins in at the end.  This was not straged by the parents.  Boys just love to make loud noises.

Josh is quite the guest.  He also "helped" Leone open the presents.

The three cousins hanging out together.  Josh and Jack are really good hiders for hide-n-seek.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

Joshua had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Harrisburg, PA.  We had a delicious meal prepared by Aunt Elaine.  The turkey was perfect and the side dishes were all a hit.  Joshua especially loved his dessert--a special Gingerbread man from MomMom.  He meticulously de-limbed the man before daddy delivered the death-blow head-removing bite.

(Ed. Note: A couple of the really nice videos we filmed on Thursday were filmed upside down.)

Jack and Joshua hide out.

Josh also had fun baking cookies with Mommy and Daddy.

Joshua and Thomas the Tank Engine

Joshua had a fun time meeting Thomas the Tank Engine.  He was very excited to meet Sir Topham Hat, all of Thomas' friends, and also to see the Strasburg Railroad museum.
We promise that Josh was very excited to meet Sir Topham Hat and to tell him that Percy and Gordon are his favorite engines.

Mmm.  Hanging out on Sunday with some yummy banana muffins.  Josh was  a great sous-chef for mommy and an even better taste-tester.

Halloween 2010.

Mr. Care Bear.  We finally got Josh to wear his costume.  He was a big hit in the neighborhood as a very generous candy giver.
Josh loves the song "The Five Little Pumpkins".  This was his special Jack-o-lantern.
Helping Daddy with the leaves.  He is a great helper.

Joshua's portraits of Mommy and Daddy.  He did ALL of this himself with no help from Daddy ( I swear).  And he specifically picked the red hair for mommy and the eyebrows for daddy.
What an unhappy kid, eh?  He's very adventurous now at the playground!

Fun Weekend

What a fabulous weekend.  Josh got to celebrate Will's 4th birthday, enjoyed the awesome weather at the park, and went to music class with daddy.  What a fun, fun weekend.

Joshua and Mommy have fun in the train at Paws Farm.  Josh loved celebrating Will's birthday.

Moo-Moo.  Josh and Mommy with a funny pic.  Josh got to meet a pig, miniature horse, llama, and chickens.

Josh climbed up in this tree himself . .well not really.  But he loved being up so high.

Now that we've finished our improvements to the basement we're able to get lots of Joshua's fun toys out.  It's  great see his reactions to toys he hasn't seen or played with for a while.

Go IU Fight Fight Fight

Josh and grandma wrestle in the backyard.  It sure looks like Josh is having a good time, eh?

Josh with Jack and Luci Leonard (twins of Andy's friend).  It was nice to meet the kids and catch up with Sean and Heidi.

Visit with Grandma

Joshua and Grandma had a very nice visit recently.  Joshua loved showing off his cars and his dance moves for her.

Josh got to watch Jack play his football game.  It was an exciting game capped off with a 75 yard, Elway/Montana-esque drive led by "The Attack" Legath as QB.    Look for Josh "The Punisher" to be coming to a field near you soon.

Argh.  Is that a Joshuasauras?  In his cool sleeping blanket Josh.

Josh roots on the Phillies as they try to clinch a playoff birth.  The lucky kids may see his third World Series in a row.

Labor Day Weekend

Joshua had a wonderful visit over the Labor Day weekend.  He showed everyone how to play golf (he is obsessed) and enjoyed all his new books and toys.  It is so nice that we can now host people in our house.

Josh loves golf.  He plays every night in the yard and is getting really good.

Outer Banks, NC Vacation

Joshua had a wonderful week in Outer Banks, NC last week with the Legath crew. He spent his time floating between the pool and the beach... life is pretty good. The water was too rocky for him most days but he still enjoyed playing in the sand. He helped daddy dig a really big hole in the sand and played mini golf with his cousins. Cousin "Yack" had a shadow pretty much the whole time!

Josh sports his Brew Thru t-shirt. A classic of the Outer Banks.

Josh is obsessed with golf right now. Although his target is not always the ball. It's a good thing Lilly is a good sport. Josh was even able to get Jack interested in the game!!!

We had a fun visit with Tate and Will Quinby on the way home. Josh had a lot of fun riding cars with the boys and playing in their backyard.
